Celebrate Father and Daughter Landscape Passages at Elk Creek Cafe

Exhibit Extended until December 28

Celebrate “Father and Daughter Landscape Passages”, and 25 years of painting together. Father, Tom Nicholas, and daughter, Susan Nicholas Gephart, have inspired each other as creative spirits for a lifetime. The exhibition will feature over 45 recent landscape paintings in oil and pastel, many created and framed for this showing in the lovely Millheim Valley. Don’t miss this beautiful ehibit in the unique setting of Elk Creek Cafe. You’ll be sure to find that special gift or simply enjoy the beauty of these two fine artists work. Be sure to call ahead for hours and special music events.

During the past 25 years, Susan has successfully raised three children, while simultaneously balancing an art career, teaching, and ongoing volunteer contributions to her community. Susan was inducted into the MCCC Alumni Hall of Fame in October, 2007.

In honor of her father, Susan kept his name in hopes of someday encouraging his artistic talent. In the mid ’80s, after Tom’s retirement from 43 years at Philadelphia Electric Company, they began to paint and exhibit together. Tom attributes his success to his background as a draftsman, years of self-study, and valuable advice in pastel painting and composition given by his daughter.

Recently, Tom Nicholas and Susan established “Nicholas Studios” in Bellefonte, PA. For information email Susan.
